Title: Tightrope Walker
A tight-rope hangs above the calamity of a mad circus. Her hair in ribbons and her dress wrapped in bows, the walker balances with the tip of her slipper. She seems to glide easily, but every step tempts fate. Colorful spinning hoops are goals and traps, the twirling brilliant music is time-keeper and dictator.
Eyes of the audience follow every shift of every fabric, hair, muscle. Spotlights illuminate her in dazzling clarity. The psychedelic trip is a torment and an escape, for those who walk and those who watch.
The wise woman contemplates the graceful dancer through her crystal ball. Beneath her calm smile, the walker is confronting consciousness. Chaotic flashes of light and dark clang around her as she fights to navigate the knowns and unknowns. She must confront her psyche as the mad world tightens its grip to drag her into the psychedelic. She dives deeper to find the core, the essence of her person, her balance, her center.
She emerges and steps onto a steady surface once again. Divine power takes over the jester and bright light radiates from her entire body. Colors of many birds and butterflies burst out to announce the beginning of new life. She is free and the audience blinks in surprise to find that she has freed them, too.
